About HimalayanGPSMaps

In 2007 we created our very first vector map of the Everest Khumbu region. At that time OpenStreetMap was nearly a blank map for the Himalaya region and nothing else was available. So we recorded trails and POIs with our Garmin GPS device and created a map from that data as well as from available apper maps and satelite images. Nowadays we use the famous OpenStreetMap data and enhance this data by topographic details like contour lines, digital elevation models and so on. Our goal is to bring you a easy to use and install digital map of very high quality and accuracy.
